Patient Blood Management in Cardiac Surgery and ECMO: The Indian Scenario in 2021

Cardiac surgery and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) both are thrombogenic procedures, wherein coagulopathy ensues. However, patients who bleeding need not to be coagulopathic. Hemodilution, hypothermia, acidosis all worsen coagulopathy.
